The evening’s menu will feature a plated meal of Nash- and locally-grown produce along with heritage breed meat selections. To complete this relaxing evening, the Lone Star String Band will serenade guests as they dine at individual tables spread across the meadow. Tables for parties of 2, 4, 6, or 8 guests are available for pre-purchase at NashFarm.org. All proceeds support education programs at Nash Farm.

Culinary Historian and Guest Chef Marna Jean Davis

Marna Jean Davis grew up in Oklahoma on a farm that has been in her family for over one hundred years. Her interest in cooking grew from her mother and grandmothers who were well-known in the community for being excellent cooks. When Davis was only 10 years old she was making and selling angel food cakes and noodles to raise money for her local 4-H club. She enjoyed helping her grandmother make dinner for harvest crews. As a teen, she collected some of her grandmothers’ recipes so they could be passed on through the family. She stood at their sides while they were cooking, taking measurements and writing them down. Her most recent cooking passion is using lamp stoves that became popular in the late 1870s, which will be demonstrated at the upcoming Nash Farm Supper: A Farm-to-Fork Experience.

Davis has been involved in living history, both in person across the United States and online, for almost 40 years and is a popular instructor of ladies historical material culture.

All proceeds support education programs at Nash Farm.

Tickets are non-refundable.
